Our team

Ráhel holds a BA in Geography from Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), followed by an MSc in Regional and Urban Development Geography. From the outset, she has been deeply interested in African slums, focusing her research on community-based planning as an effective approach to their development. To further deepen her expertise, she completed an MA in Community and Civil Studies at ELTE and pursued doctoral studies in Geopolitics at the University of Pécs. She joined the Hungarian Charity Service of the Order of Malta in 2019, having previously worked as a geopolitical researcher at the PAGEO Geopolitical Research Institute. Her main research areas include urbanisation in Africa, particularly the challenges of slums.

At the Hungarian Charity Service of the Order of Malta, she applies her academic knowledge in practice through involvement in African projects and serves as editorial secretary of the journal Máltai Tanulmányok.

Ana is a Venezuelan-born Hungarian professional. She graduated in Social Communication from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in Caracas and later obtained a postgraduate qualification in Organisational Communication Consultancy from Universidad Monteávila. She spent two decades at the Spanish company Telefónica, holding various leadership roles in corporate communication as well as social and cultural projects. She also lived for three years in Quito, Ecuador, where she coordinated exhibitions, events and publications at Espacio Fundación Telefónica. Later, she worked as editor of ESTILO Magazine, focusing on visual arts and publishing in renowned art journals.

At the Hungarian Charity Service of the Order of Malta, she is primarily responsible for Latin American and Spanish-speaking regions.

Regina studied International Relations and International Journalism at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations. She worked for several years in both electronic and print media, including reporting for Radio Free Europe and editing weekly foreign policy programmes at MTV and Hír TV. She also completed a postgraduate programme in political communication at Corvinus University–Századvég, focusing on international aspects of media influence. As an international press officer at the Hungarian Prime Minister’s Office and the Office of the President of Hungary, she was responsible for communication related to diplomatic and climate programmes, contributing to the organisation of numerous high-level international events. She was also involved in several humanitarian initiatives led by the President of Hungary and the First Lady, through which she became well acquainted with the work of the Hungarian Charity Service of the Order of Malta. For this reason as well, she was pleased to join the international activities of Hungary’s largest humanitarian organisation.

Since 2022, she has been responsible for communication and organisational tasks related to the Hungarian Charity Service of the Order of Malta’s international humanitarian work.

Nóra obtained her degrees in International Studies and International Economics at the University of Szeged and the École de Management de Normandie in France. She began her professional career in an EU-funded cross-border programme between Romania and Hungary, where she supported the implementation of regional development projects. At the same time, her volunteer activities played a key role in shaping her professional commitment: as President of the Szeged section of the Erasmus Student Network, and through her involvement in a community development initiative in Tanzania, she developed a strong belief in the importance of international cooperation and shared responsibility in addressing global challenges. As a result, she shifted her career path and, at HAND Association, supported Hungarian civil society organisations engaged in international development through strategic planning, partnership building, as well as policy and project management tasks, successfully contributing to the implementation of a major EU project linked to the Hungarian EU Presidency.

At the Hungarian Charity Service of the Order of Malta, she works as a Programme Coordinator, contributing to project implementation, professional and policy-related activities in support of value-based, humane and effective assistance.

Dalma obtained her degree in Regional and Urban Development Geography and Geography Teaching at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), and later completed an engineering economist programme at Corvinus University. She has previously worked as a project manager in both the civil and corporate sectors, and in her own business she prepared and managed grant applications for small enterprises and municipalities. Throughout her career, she has been particularly drawn to the social and human dimension of regional development. She spent four years in Asia with her family, where she was primarily engaged in volunteer work in various educational and artistic projects.

At the Hungarian Charity Service of the Order of Malta, she is responsible for coordinating the administrative tasks of the international team, as well as grant writing and the management of ongoing projects.
